PM Kisan 20th Installment Date: Crores of farmers of the country are eagerly waiting for the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme. This installment is going to be available during the Kharif season (June-October). Therefore, its importance increases even more.
Farmers are now preparing for sowing of paddy (rice), maize, cotton, soybean, peanuts and arhar (toor dal). In such a situation, the installment of Rs 2000 available under the PM Kisan Yojana for many farmers can become a big support.
What is PM Kisan Yojana?
Under the PM Kisan Yojana, the central government provides financial assistance of ₹ 6,000 to eligible farmers every year. It is transferred directly to the bank account in three installments of ₹ 2,000 at an interval of four months. Its purpose is to provide financial assistance to the financially weak farmers for needs like fertilizer, seeds and water.
When will the 20th installment come?
The previous i.e. 19th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme was released on 24 February 2025. In this, the government had transferred about ₹ 22,000 crore to the accounts of about 9.8 crore farmers.
At the same time, the 20th installment of the scheme is likely to be released in the first or second week of June 2025. However, no official confirmation has been made by the government so far.
How will you get the benefit of 20th installment?
The Ministry of Agriculture launched a saturation drive for the PM Kisan Yojana in May 2025. In this, all the eligible farmers were asked to complete the necessary formalities in time, so that they could get the benefit of 20th installment without any problem.
E-KYC and Aadhaar Link Compulsory
To get the next installment, farmers have to complete some important formalities. It is most important to complete E-Kyc. Also, the Aadhaar card should be linked to the bank account.
If these conditions are not met, the installment may be stuck or delay. The government has also made it clear earlier that installments will not be released without E-KYC.
Full process to e-kyc
- Go to the official site PMKISAN.GOV.IN.
- Choose ‘Update Mobile Number’ in the ‘Farmers Corner’ section.
- Enter Aadhaar number and verify through OTP.
If you are not able to do online process, they can also do biometric KYC by visiting the nearest CSC (Common Service Center).
How to check benefits?
Whether you will get the benefit of PM Kisan Yojana or not, you can check it in ‘Beneficiary Status’ by visiting the PM-Kisan portal. By entering the Aadhaar number or account number there, it can be seen whether the eligibility for the next installment is made.
If you do not have a name in the Beneficiary list, contact the concerned agricultural officer. Also complete the process of linking E-KYC and bank account to Aadhaar, due to this, 20th installment may also get stuck.
