PM Kisan 21st Installment Date 2025: The central government is running many schemes to increase the income of farmers and strengthen farming. Of these, farmers are taking maximum benefit of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi). Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given financial assistance of Rs 6,000 every year, which is sent directly to their bank accounts in three equal installments.
Till now the government has released 20 installments of this scheme. The 20th installment was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August 2025. This benefited 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.4 crore women farmers. Although this installment was expected to arrive in June, it was received a little late. Usually a new installment is released every four months, so now farmers are eagerly waiting for the 21st installment.
What is PM Kisan Yojana?
PM Kisan Yojana was launched by the then Finance Minister Piyush Goyal in the interim budget of 2019. It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now it has become the world’s largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme. Under this scheme, the eligible farmer gets Rs 2,000 every four months i.e. Rs 6,000 in a year.
When are the installments received?
First installment: April–July
Second installment: August–November
Third installment: December–March
The money is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the farmers.
When will we get the 21st installment?
The 21st installment was expected to arrive before Diwali, but the government has not yet announced the official date. It is expected that this installment will be released in November 2025 and Rs 2,000 will reach the accounts of the farmers. However, the government has already released the 21st installment for the flood affected farmers of Jammu and Kashmir.
On October 7, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan released this money through video conferencing from Delhi.
Under this, ₹171 crore was sent directly into the accounts of 8.55 lakh farmers, which included more than 85,000 women farmers. Till now, farmers of Jammu and Kashmir have received assistance worth Rs 4,052 crore.
Who can apply and who is eligible?
Must be an Indian citizen.
There should be cultivable land in their name.
Be a small or marginal farmer.
Whose pension does not exceed Rs 10,000 per month.
Income tax has not been filed.
