The installment came in June last year

Last year, the 17th installment came in June 2024, so farmers were expecting payment this time in June itself. But this time the installment has been delayed and now it is likely to be released by the Prime Minister during a program in July. However, neither date has been fixed by the government nor a program or place has been announced.

Why is the 20th installment delay?

Under the PM Kisan Yojana, three installments are usually released in the year – in February, June and October. This time the 19th installment has arrived in February 2025, but no payment was made in June. Although no official statement has come on the reason for the delay in the installment, it is believed that the installment will come in July due to technical process and investigation of necessary documents.

Which work is necessary for farmers to get installment money?

If you want your 20th installment not to stop, then complete the important work given below on time.

1. Get Aadhaar Link with your bank account

If your bank account is not linked to Aadhaar, then the payment may face problems.

2. Complete E-Kyc

It is mandatory to get E-KYC done according to PM Kisan Portal. This work can be completed with biometric or face authentication by going to the website or near the nearest CSC center through OTP.

3. Get the record of land records

Your name should have cultivable land and its record should be updated in the state government’s Bhulekh portal.

4. Check application status

https://pmkisan.gov.in by visiting the website, enter the registration number or Aadhaar in the Know Your Status option, see if your name is in the beneficiary list.

What to do if you are not having a match in Aadhaar and name?

If there is a difference between your name and Aadhaar card, you can fix it in the methods given below.

Online method

Go to the website> Farmer Corner> Updation of Self Registered Farmer> Fill the Aadhaar number and captcha> Submit the name and submit the name.

Offline method

Go to your nearest CSC or Agriculture Department office. Also take Aadhaar card, bank passbook, land paper and PM farmer ID.

Who are eligible for this scheme?

Should be a citizen of India.

There should be cultivable land.

Small and marginal farmers are eligible.

10,000 rupees or more pension is not being received.

Income tax should not be filled.

The land should not be the name of any institution.

What is PM Kisan Yojana?

The scheme started in the year 2019, in which the central government gives Rs 6,000 annually to small and marginal farmers of the country. This money comes directly in three installments of Rs 2,000-2,000 every four months in farmers’ bank accounts.
