Farmers will get benefit
The government has added a new provision, under which now farmers of those border areas will also get the benefit of the scheme, who do not have the necessary documents related to the land. In such cases, the state government will have to prove that the farmer actually cultivates. After this verification, the concerned farmers will also be eligible to get the next installment of the scheme.
21st installment can come by Diwali
Farmers across the country are currently waiting for the 21st installment. The government has indicated that by Diwali, Rs 2,000 can be transferred to farmers’ accounts. That is, farmers are likely to get good news before the festival.
Who will get money first?
Till now all the 20 installments of the plan were released simultaneously across the country. But this time the rule has changed a bit. The central government has decided that farmers of flood affected states will get the 21st installment in advance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also recently indicated that farmers of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab could get the benefit of installment first.
KYC will be mandatory
Meanwhile, farmers will have to remember another important thing. The money of the scheme will not come in the bank account without completing e-KYC. For this, farmers have to login by going to PMKISAN.GOV.IN website. The process can be completed as soon as you enter the ‘E-KYC’ option on the homepage as soon as you enter Aadhaar and mobile number.
