The Champions Trophy ended in the Group Stage itself in the Champions Trophy 2025. The hosts could not win a single match in this tournament. As soon as the journey of the Champions Trophy for Pakistan ends, PCB has released the upcoming season schedule of Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025). This will be the 10th season of PSL, which will start from April 11. This means that when IPL is being played in India, then Pakistan’s players will play PSL.
PSL 2025 finals will be played on 18 May
The 10th season of PSL will begin from April 11. All the matches of this season will be played in four cities of Pakistan in Multan, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi. In the first match of the season, defending champion Islamabad will face two -time champions Lahore Kalandars at the United Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The tournament played between six teams will run from April 11 to May 18, with total 34 matches. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host 13 matches this season. Two eliminators and final matches will also be played on this ground. In addition, the upcoming version will also have an exhibition match, which will be played in Peshawar on 8 April. No information has been revealed about the team for this match.
11 matches will be played in Rawalpindi
The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host 11 matches this season. A qualifier match will be played on 13 May at this ground. Karachi’s National Bank Stadium and Multan Cricket Stadium will also host five matches each. This season PSL will also have three double-headers. On the other hand, the winner of the fifth edition of the league, Karachi Kings will start his tournament on April 12 with a match against 2024 runners -up Multan Sultans at his home ground. PSL 2017 champion Peshawar Jalmi will play five matches at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, while the fourth edition will play five matches at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the winning team of the fourth edition.
