According to the news of Hindustan Times, the authorities have given this information on Tuesday citing the discussion with Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu’s airlines.

The first attempt was made in April

According to the news, the runway 28/10 at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport) needs to be closed to upgrade its landing devices. The government made the first effort in April but within a month it had to be canceled. Due to this, flight programs were disrupted. The airport was unable to handle its normal load of about 1,400 flights every day on its three runways.

Second attempt will be made from June 15

The government will now make a second effort from June 15, which will run for 90 days. The official associated with this says that Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu held a meeting with the airlines on Tuesday morning and directed them to start preparing to close the runway. It is expected to run for about three months. The minister has adopted an active approach to avoid repeating the situation arising in the first attempt made in April.

Asked to plan to cancel flight

Another official said that the minister has asked the airlines to create a plan to cancel the flight to reduce the inconvenience of the passengers. The official said that aviation minister Airlines have been asked to propose all possible measures to be taken to reduce the impact of the runway closure on passengers.
