A passenger aircraft and a helicopter have collided at the US capital Washington DC. After the crash, the passenger aircraft has fallen into the Potomac River. According to the fire department in Washington, the accident occurred near Ronald Reagan Airport on Wednesday night.
The accident took place between American Airlines’s CRJ700 Bombardier Jet and US Army Blackhawk (H-60) helicopter. According to the airline, the CRJ700 jet has 65 seats. The airline company confirmed the accident after 9 pm.
This Jet Kansas was coming from the state to the capital Washington. Officials said that several calls of aircraft accidents were received near the Reagan National Airport (DCA) after 8:50 pm local time.
