Delhi Police has issued this advisory for December 31 (Tuesday night), the purpose of which is to maintain the safety of people and smooth traffic during New Year celebrations. Special arrangements have been made in areas like Connaught Place, India Gate and Hauz Khas. Those who drink and drive will also be monitored.

If you want to celebrate the New Year, then do not drink and drive, otherwise the New Year will be in jail. Special traffic arrangements in Connaught Place
There is a huge crowd of people in Connaught Place. 11 CAPF companies and 40 motorcycle patrol teams along with foot patrols have also been deployed here. There will be special traffic arrangements in and around Connaught Place from 8 pm on New Year’s Eve till the end of the celebrations, i.e. after midnight. According to the advisory issued by Delhi Police, no vehicles will be allowed to enter the Connaught Place area beyond Mandi House, Bengali Market and other major intersections. This area will be open only for vehicles with valid passes.
