Bahram Chah, located in Helmand province of Afghanistan, is a border town adjacent to Chgai district of Pakistan, then has become the center of armed conflict. The clashes between Pakistani security forces and Taliban started from February 3 have now intensified.

The recent controversy began when the Taliban tried to create a new outpost to secure its border. Pakistani forces started firing, calling it a violation of the agreement. In response, the Taliban attacked Pakistan’s checkpost. The checkpost collapsed due to the mortar firing.

Due to this increasing struggle, more than two and a half lakh people of Chgai district have been ordered by the Shahbaz government of Pakistan to leave the house immediately. The Taliban has also asked its citizens to vacate the area. This situation has already made bitter Pak-Afghan relations more stressful.

Bahram Chah Checkpost is located on the Durand Rekha. It is considered an important corridor for drug trafficking, movement of weapons and rebel activities. Apart from this, it also controls military activities between Chgai and Helmand. Its destruction can cause crisis for the Pakistani army.

Taliban deployed suicide squad and Pak posted Frontier Core

Both Afghanistan and Taliban have now accelerated military preparations. The Taliban has deployed the 205th core in Kandahar, including a squad of 50 suicide bages. These squads are ready to attack Pakistani forces, making the situation more dangerous.

Pakistan has also strengthened the frontier core Balochistan on its border to compete with the Taliban and deploy tanks. Common people are living in the shadow of fear. The main reason for this is to leave the border of the Pakistani army and retreat.

The Pakistan administration has closed schools, colleges and other public places, and hospitals have been kept on high alert. Locals are looking for bomb shelters for their safety. The situation looks like a repetition of the 2023 Dera Ismail Khan suicide attack, when Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan targeted the army.

Pakistan Army ran away leaving more than four posts due to fear

After a collision with the Taliban, the Pak Army has escaped leaving its four posts. Three outposts are located around Bahram Chah. The Pak Army has launched behind after the mortar attacks here. At the same time, Gonsoro pass check post has also left the Pak Army and retreated.

Let us know that the district’s biggest province of Balochistan is located in Chgai Pak. Apart from Afghanistan, this largest district of Balochistan is very important with the border of Iran.

According to experts, if no diplomatic solution is found soon, this conflict can affect not only Pak-Afghan relations but the security stability of the whole of South Asia.

After the collision, both countries deployed tanks.

Taliban gets support of Baloch rebels

Recent clashes between Pakistani forces and Taliban in Bahram Chah have increased regional instability. According to sources, the Taliban has been asked to support the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).

The BLA, fighting for the independence of Balochistan, recently carried out 71 coordinated attacks at more than 51 places under ‘Operation Heroof 2.0’.

Pakistani military bases were targeted in these attacks. The BLA has also announced to intensify its armed actions against Pakistan.
