Lahore Bar Association wrote a letter to IG against Ahmadis

The Lahore High Court Bar Association wrote a letter to the IG of Punjab, accusing the Ahmedia community to follow Islamic customs and termed it a violation of the law.

Bar Association President Malik Asif said that only Muslims have the right to sacrifice. If the Ahmadiyas take part in these customs of the community, then it will hurt the feelings of the Muslim majority. This will increase the risk of violence.

In 1889, Mirza Ghulam Ahmed started the Ahmedia community in Kadian village of Ludhiana district of Punjab. He called a meeting and declared himself a Caliph.

He emphasized teachings like peace, love, justice and purity of life. After this it was believed that Mirza Ghulam Ahmed started a revival inside Islam.

People of Ahmadiyya community are considered Liberal. The reason for this is that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad used to emphasize reading the teachings of the founders and saints of other religion such as Iranian Profate, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Krishna, Buddha, Confucius, Lao Tzu and Guru Nanak. He believed that only a person can become a true Muslim through these teachings.

Ahmadiyya is not considered a Muslim in Pakistan since 1974.
