A source in the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) said that Johar Sangh has sent an official letter to PHF in October 2023 with the team to Malaysia’s PHF officials and their families’ residences, journey and amount to be paid for other expenses. Pakistan’s team went to Malaysia to play Johar Hockey Cup and some PHF officials and their families also accompanied the team.
The source said that the organizers had to bear the stay of the team’s stay and other expenses, but the PHF officials were told that they would have to bear all their expenses on their own. These officers also stayed at the same luxurious hotel where the teams were staying. It also included former PHF president.
Pakistan Hockey Federation is already struggling with crushing
The Johar Sangh has already raised the issue before the Malaysia Federation and threatened that if the arrears are not paid, they will take the matter before the FIH (International Hockey Federation). The source said that the current president of the Pakistan Hockey Federation and his team are in trouble about the matter, as the federation is already struggling with financial crisis and was not aware of these expenses incurred by former PHF officials.
