PAK vs WI, 1st Test: The first Test match of the 2-match Test series played between Pakistan and West Indies in Multan ended within just 3 days. On the third day of the Multan Test, Pakistan bowled out West Indies for just 127 runs in the second innings and won the first Test match by a huge margin of 127 runs. In both the innings of this test match, Pakistan’s spin trio wreaked havoc with the ball and took all 20 wickets. In the first innings, spinner Sajid Khan took 4 wickets and Noman Ali took 5 wickets while Abrar Ahmed got 1 wicket. Whereas, in the second innings, Sajid Khan got 5 wickets and Abrar Ahmed got 4 wickets. Noman Ali got a breakthrough. In this way all three spinners managed to take all 20 wickets. Pakistan’s fast bowler could not take even a single wicket.

Spinners wreaked havoc in the last 3 home tests

This is not the first time that Pakistan’s spinners have done wonders by taking all 20 wickets in a test match. Pakistan’s spinners had achieved the same feat in the last two Test matches played at home. That means, in the last 3 Test matches played at home, all 60 wickets have been taken by Pakistan’s spinners. Pakistan’s fast bowler could not take a single wicket in the last 3 home test matches. From this, the dominance of Pakistani spinners can be estimated. That is, the Pakistan team which was known for its fast bowling, now seems to be identified with its spinners.

This was the condition of the match

Not only the spinners of Pakistan but also the spinners of West Indies did wonders in the first test. West Indies spinner Jomel Warrican took 3 wickets in the first innings but played an important role in bowling out Pakistan for 157 runs by taking 7 wickets in the second innings. In this way, Jomel Warrican became the first spin bowler in the world to take 7 wickets in a Test against Pakistan at home. The West Indies team could score only 137 runs in the first innings and then collapsed to just 123 runs in reply to the target of 251 runs.
