External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, on 22 April, was an idea of terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, an economic war. Its purpose was to ruin the tourism industry in Kashmir.
Jaishankar said,

The attack was an attack on tourism, which is the backbone of the economy of Kashmir. Terrorists wanted people to be afraid, tourists should not come and the economic structure of the valley should be broken.
Talking to CEO Dev Pragad of Newsvic Magazine in New York, USA, Jaishankar said that the attackers separated people on the basis of religious identity and then murdered, so that communal tension could spread.

Many people of Indian origin participated in the program. These included many people associated with the industry.
‘India is no longer afraid of nuclear weapons threat’
Speaking at the program, Jaishankar said that India will give a befitting reply to terrorism coming from Pakistan. He said that India is no longer afraid of nuclear weapons threats.
Jaishankar said,

Now the time to show this fear has gone that both countries are nuclear forces, so India should be restrained. If Pakistan attacks, we will also answer and directly attack them. Neither the terrorists will get exemption, nor will their boss be safe.
Jaishankar made it clear that we decided that it is not possible to leave the terrorists without punishment. He said that India will no longer spare the Pakistan government by considering terrorists as proxy, which gives them support, funding and encouragement.
India conducted operation vermilion to avenge the Pahalgam attack
To avenge the Pahalgam attack on 22 April, the Indian Air Force did an air strike in Pakistan and POK at 1:05 am on 6-7 May. In the operation which lasted only 25 minutes, 9 terrorist hideouts in 7 cities were destroyed. It was named Operation Sindoor.

Pakistan threatened a major attack after Operation Sindoor
Speaking about Operation Sindoor, Jaishankar said that on the night of 9 May, Pakistan had threatened to make a big attack on India.
US Vice President JD Vance spoke to PM Modi. Vance said that if India does not listen to the conditions, Pakistan would attack a big attack.
Jaishankar said that Prime Minister Modi ignored any threat and clearly said that India will answer. The same night Pakistan attacked and India immediately reacted.
According to the Foreign Minister, he was present in the same room at that time. Jaishankar told that the next morning US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called him and said that Pakistan wants to talk.
