After this, an official announcement was made to postpone it on Friday. Now the update has been given by the BCCI. It seems that the IPL will be there, but it may take some time.
Review meeting will be held next week
The BCCI announced on Friday morning that the IPL has been postponed at present. Shortly after noon, it was found out that a review meeting will be held by BCCI next week. The situation will be reviewed during that time. After this, further strategy will be decided. That is, if the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan decreases between one week, then they will start compared to the IPL.
Possibility of IPL in September
Meanwhile, the news is also that the IPL can now be organized in September, when the Asia Cup is to be done. The Asia Cup is to be held in September. However, neither its schedule has been released nor there is any program. The teams of India and Pakistan also participate in it, but the situation that remains still, is very less likely that now the Asia Cup will be possible, that is, its event is seen falling into the sour. Thoughts on many options
It is reported that BCCI had considered several options, including possible changes of places, before postponing the IPL. But when there was no possibility, it was decided to stop it. IPL President Arun Dhumal had earlier said that any further decision will be taken in consultation with the government.
