Home Minister Amit Shah will launch ‘Bharatpol’

The Government of India is coming up with ‘Bharatpol’ to nab the wanted criminals hiding abroad. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate Bharatpol at Bharat Mandapam on Tuesday at 10.30 am. Let us tell you that on the lines of the world famous Interpol, CBI has prepared a common portal named Bharatpol. This portal will include all the central investigating agencies like CBI, ED, NIA and police of all the states. Let us know what work Bharatpol will do.

What will be the benefit of Bharatpol?

Bharatpol portal will make it easier to reach criminals wanted for any kind of terrorist incident, serious crime, narco or cyber crime. Through Bharatpol, all the central agencies and police of different states will be directly connected with each other and there will be good coordination between them.

How was the work done till now?

Generally, wanted criminals commit any kind of crime like terrorist activity, cyber crime, bank fraud etc., leave the country and go abroad and get the crimes committed in India from abroad. The latest example of this is gang war. Big gangsters like Goldie Brar, Rohit Godara sometimes organize gang wars in India from Canada and sometimes from America. Khalistani also commit crimes in India. Till now, if any agency has to bring back a wanted criminal, then that agency contacts CBI through mail or letter for extradition, in such a situation there is a danger of the news getting leaked.

What did Amit Shah say?

Home Minister Amit Shah has said that today is going to be a historic day. Bharatpol portal developed by CBI will be launched. The Home Minister has said that Bharatpol will give a new edge to our investigative agencies by increasing their global reach to fulfill the Modi government’s vision of creating a safe India for all. At the time of launch of Bharatpol, police chiefs of all the states including CBI Director will also be present in Bharat Mandapam.
