The Bhotekoshi river on the Nepal-China border suddenly flooded at around 3 am on Tuesday morning. It has 18 people missing, including 12 Nepali and 6 Chinese citizens. There are 3 policemen, 9 citizens in 12 Nepalis. Search and rescue operation has been started to search for them. However, there is a problem due to bad weather.

The incident is of Chinese border in Rasuwa district of Nepal. Arjun Paudel, chief district officer of Rasuwa, told the news agency ANI that the bridge connecting Nepal and China in the swollen river was washed away. At the time of the accident, about 200 vehicles parked at the custom port were also swept away.

According to officials, some missing people were sleeping inside the vehicles. There is a possibility of their flow with vehicles. On either side of the bridge, many traders are also trapped. 12 Nepal Police personnel are also stranded. The water level is still high and continuous rain is bad.

The reasons for the sudden flood are still being investigated. However, the river is believed to have flooded due to heavy rains in China.
