48 -year -old Jagatar Singh, a former panchayat member of Mukandpur village in Nawanshahar district of Punjab, died of a heart attack in Dubai. Jagatar used to visit Dubai for employment for the last 8 years and was currently there for the last 8 months.

According to the deceased’s father Bakshi Ram and uncle Om Prakash Kala, his relatives received a call from Dubai on Tuesday morning, in which Jagtar’s death was reported. The family said that they want to perform Jagtar’s last rites in their ancestral village Mukandpur.
The family is broken by the sudden death of a earning son. Jagtar is left behind by his wife and two young children. The family struggling with poverty has requested the central government for help. The family says that the government should help in the form of compensation, so that the future of children can be secured.
