Navi Mumbai International Airport News: The date of Launchch of Navi Mumbai International Airport is not yet finalized. But the passengers have already been told how much they will have to pay as user fees. Yes, passengers using the airport will have to pay a user development fee (UDF) of Rs 1,225. Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) has allowed user development fees (UDF) up to Rs 1,225 at Navi Mumbai International Airport under construction.

This airport is being developed by Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited (NMIAL). Passengers flying from this airport to be commissioned at the end of this year will have to pay Rs 620 for domestic flights and Rs 1,225 for international flights as user development fees (UDF).

As per the 42 -page order of the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA), the user development percentage for domestic and foreign flights for passengers landing at the airport will be Rs 270 and Rs 525.

User development fees have been approved on informal basis for FY 2025-26. The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority said that it has been decided to impose UDF on informal basis as an interim measure till 31 March 2026 or until the final fixation of regular fees (whichever is first).

The Navi Mumbai airpart being prepared by the Adani Group is expected to start the flight later this year. Its annual capacity in the first phase and second phase is to handle two crore passengers. In FY 30, its capacity will be 5 crore in the third phase, 7 crore in the fourth phase and 9 crores in the final and fifth phase.

The Airport Authority has estimated the movement of 11.98 million passengers in FY 26. If sources are to be believed, IndiGo Adani Group will be the first airline to start flights from Navamy Mumbai International Airport (NMIA). It is being told that IndiGo’s first commercial flight will fly from here.

Airport user development fees (UDF) are a type of fee. Passengers have to pay this fee to use the airport. This fee has been fixed for 2025-26 financial year. A policy of regular tariffs will be made after the airport starts. After this, there may be changes in the UDF. The same UDF will remain in force at Navi Mumbai Airport by the formation of a new policy or till 31 March 2026.
