Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, said on Friday that Reliance has invested about 30,000 crore rupees in the north-eastern states in the last 40 years. In the next five years, we will make our investment more than doubled, our goal is Rs 75,000 crore. He said that this investment will create more than 25 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities. In addition, we aspire to touch the lives of most of our 4.5 crore sisters and brothers in the northeast. Ambani said this in his address at 2025 emerging North Eastern Investor Summit.
Will double the 5G subscriber
According to the news, Ambani said in his address that, Jio has already covered 90% of the population with more than 50 lakh 5G subscribers. We will double this number this year. Jio’s priority will be to reach the revolutionary power of Artificial Intelligence to all schools, hospitals, enterprises and homes. When talent meets technology and capacity comes from connectivity, our north-east will move forward. He also said that Reliance will increase the purchase of main foods, fruits and vegetables to increase the income of retail farmers.
Solar will increase energy production a lot
We will also invest in factories for high -quality FMCG products in the region and promote the region’s magnificent artisan economy. We will greatly increase solar energy production in this region. Our Prime Minister often talks about converting waste into wealth. According to this, we will set up 350 integrated compressed biogas plants and convert the huge barren land of the area into wealth land.
Will provide excellent care of cancer
Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance Foundation will provide the best cancer care of cancer in the northeast. He said that first of all, we have established a comprehensive cancer hospital with 150 beds in Manipur. We are collaborating with the University of Mizoram on breast cancer care using genomic data. In Guwahati, we have created an advanced molecular diagnostic and research laboratory. This will be one of the largest genome sequencing capabilities in India. We will help convert the north-east into a healthcare center and a research center.
Olympic training center will be established
Ambani said that the northeast region is a treasure of world -class talents in many sports. The 4 Reliance Foundation will set up an Olympic training center with all eight states, which will prepare our youth to be a medal winner of tomorrow in the Olympics.
