Let us tell you that on January 17, the government launched the Intra Circle Roaming (ICR) facility during an event showcasing 4G mobile sites funded by Digital India Fund (DBN). After the launch of this service, Reliance Jio, Airtel, BSNL users will now be able to make calls easily through any network even if their SIM network is lost.
Jio, Airtel BSNL users’ problems will end
Now mobile users can access 4G services through DBN-funded towers using any network. Network problems of many mobile users are going to end after the government provides financial support to telecom service providers under Digital India Fund.
In such a situation, even if the mobile users are taking the service of any telecom operator, if there is no network, they will be able to use the service of any other network through the mobile towers under Digital India Fund. Now users of different operators can now enjoy 4G connectivity from the same tower.
This initiative of Digital India Fund will help in eliminating network problems of mobile users in more than 35,400 rural and remote areas by using approximately 27,000 towers. Not only this, it will help in connecting mobile users with high speed 4G connectivity.
Union Minister said a big thing
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced the launch of ICR service on 4G mobile sites funded by DBN. He underlined the importance of this initiative and called it an important progress. Scindia highlighted that the three major telecom companies—BSNL, Airtel and Reliance—are collaborating to share their networks across all locations funded by DBN. He informed that around 27,836 sites will be covered, emphasizing that the initiative is not only aimed at increasing connectivity but also providing more choices to users across the country regarding their mobile services.
