According to the information revealed, this entire incident took place between Kannur and Chirakkal railway station around 5 pm on Monday. At this time Mangalore-Thiruvananthapuram train had passed through here. Railway Police has identified the man seen in the video as 56-year-old Pavithran. He works as a sweeper in the school. Pavithran’s statement has also been recorded by the police in this case. Pavithran has told that he was talking to someone on the phone. For this reason he could not predict the arrival of the train. By the time Pavithran realized the danger, he did not have time to escape from there. In such a situation, Pavithran decided to lie down on the tracks and was successful in saving his life.

Regarding this incident, the police have said that they are also surprised to see the video going viral. Police said that Pavithran was of short stature so he survived the incident. According to the police, when the video of the incident went viral, a rumor spread that a drunken man was lying on the track and later left the place.
