A minor girl who was raped in a hospital in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh gave birth to a child and subsequently died. Police gave this information on Wednesday. Police said that the victim, a resident of an area in Shimla district, was taken to the hospital on Tuesday and she gave birth to a child in the hospital and later the victim died.
New born baby referred to IGMC Shimla
Police said that the newborn child has been referred to IGMC, Shimla for treatment. Police said that based on the complaint of the victim’s father, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO).
The victim did not tell anything about the accused
The victim’s father said in his complaint that his daughter had complained of stomach pain, after which she was taken to the hospital and after the ultrasound report came, she was found to be seven months pregnant. According to the police, despite many efforts of the family members, the minor girl remained silent and did not tell anything about the accused. (with language inputs)
