West Bengal On Wednesday, companies like Reliance Industries, ITC and JSW announced to invest about one lakh crore rupees. All these announcements were made on the first day of ‘Bangal Global Trade Summit’ (BGBS) 2025. Through this conference, the state government is trying to draw investment in various fields and strengthen the state’s economic situation. Addressing the first session of the eighth edition of the conference, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani said that his company would invest Rs 50,000 crore in the state by the end of this decade.
Reliance’s investment increased by 20 times
Ambani said, “Our investment in Bengal has increased 20 times in less than a decade and we have invested more than Rs 50,000 crore. We will double this investment by the end of this decade. Our investment will be spread over several sectors including digital services, green energy and retail. ”He said that Reliance’s investment so far in Bengal has created more than one lakh direct employment.

Several other important announcements were also made at the summit, including the unveiling of a global excellence of ITC Limited for AI in the New Town area of Kolkata. The Chief Minister inaugurated this center online. JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal also announced an investment of Rs 16,000 crore to develop a 1,600 MW power project in Salboni, Bengal.
200 delegates from 40 countries participated
At the same time, RP-Sanjeev Goenka Group has announced a total investment of Rs 10,000 crore in various segments in the next few years. More than 200 delegates from 40 countries attended the summit. These included celebrities like legendary cricketer Sourav Ganguly, besides prominent industrialists like Mukesh Ambani, Sajjan Jindal, Sanjeev Puri, Sanjeev Goenka and Harshvardhan Neiya. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was also present in the inaugural session of the conference. Bhutan Agriculture Minister Yunten Phuntasho was also present at the event.
