Mango Price Fall: ‘King of Fruits’ is being found in the price of potato-onion! Prices fall in the prices

Mango pris fall: If you get mangoes with food in summer, then it becomes fun. However, if the price of mangoes is expensive, then the taste in front of the pocket fades slightly. However, the price of mangoes has fallen significantly this season. Mango prices in Uttar Pradesh, the country’s largest common producing state, have reduced by one third of the previous year. Traders and farmers say that this has happened due to bumper yield and early apprehension of monsoon before the time of farmers before time.

Why did mango prices fall?

The President of the Common Producer Association, S Insaram Ali said that this year, the mango production in Uttar Pradesh is estimated to be around 35 million metric tonnes, compared to 2.5 million metric tonnes last year. Ali said that farmers soon broke the mangoes due to not only much production, but also the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD )’s prediction of the monsoon coming more than normal and early. This led to a large amount of large quantity in the mango market, causing prices to fall.

Insaram Ali said that ‘there is no possibility of increasing mango prices in the coming weeks’. This means that consumers will be able to enjoy cheap mangoes this year.

What is the situation in the country?

Uttar Pradesh: Dussehri mango prices have now fallen to ₹ 40-45 per kg against last year’s ₹ 60 per kg.

Andhra Pradesh: The prices of Totapuri mango produced in Tirupati and Chittoor districts have also declined a drastic drop. The main reason for this is that the factories making mango pulp (pulp) have not yet started buying mangoes from farmers, as they have the previous year’s stock left. Here too, farmers had broken mangoes quickly in fear of monsoon.

West Bengal: Major producers of mangoes have also come down from ₹ 80 per kg to ₹ 45-50 per kg in this state. Prashant Pal, a common businessman from Kolkata, also said that production is good and prices have fallen due to farmers breaking quickly.

India dominates the global production of mangoes

In 2024, global mango production reached 25 million metric tons (MT), with India alone about half. China (3.8 million MT) and Indonesia (3.6 million MT) were the second and third largest producers respectively. Uttar Pradesh contributes about 20% of India’s total common production. Mango record production is expected to be done in this year.

Overall, this is a good news for mango enthusiasts this year, because they will get a ‘king of fruits’ at a low price. However, this is a matter of concern for the farmers, because they are not getting the full price of their hard work in a hurry.
