Mahakumbh 2025: Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati participated in the Mahakumbh special ‘Satya Sanatan’ conclave. He said that he is feeling very good in Prayagraj. This earth has been full of spiritual energy. Whoever comes here does not face any trouble. Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati was asked why people should go to Mahakumbh? On this he said that just as our body is important but some of its parts are special, similarly any period of time is special. He said that the spiritual work done in Mahakumbh is special and coming here gives a special feeling.
Cow slaughter is a stigma on the forehead of Hindu – Shankaracharya
Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati told that a Yagya Mandap of 324 ponds has been built in his camp. Cow Pratishtha Mahayagya is taking place there. Its objective is to remove the biggest stigma on the face of Hindus which is cow slaughter. Is. Shankaracharya said that we are in crores of people but cows are being slaughtered. To eradicate this sense of sin one has to acquire spiritual energy. 2.25 crore offerings will be made in this Yagya.
It is our duty to guide the Sanatanis – Shankaracharya
Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has said that being on the post of Shankaracharya, it is our duty to guide the Sanatanis. Therefore, Dharma Sansad is being organized in the camp. Parliament House is almost ready and its proceedings will start from day after tomorrow. The session will run in the camp for 27 days. Whatever problems the Sanatanis are facing, after discussing them, a religious order will be issued every day which will guide the people. He told that we have sought information about the problems from the people through public platforms. People are telling us their problems and we are making a list of them. Even now, when Parliament continues to function, it will be telecast live on social media. Problems will come to light and guidance will be given according to theology. We do not hate modernity but we should cherish traditions.
Answer on Waqf’s claim on Mahakumbh land
Regarding declaring the Maha Kumbh land as Waqf land, Shankaracharya said that this will also be raised in the Parliament of Religions. Ours is the holy land of Prayag, where will the land of Waqf people come from? If it has been made Waqf, then why has the proof of when it was used not been shown till now? Comprehensive guidance will be provided on this issue in the Dharma Sansad. Those who are expecting a big heart from us should understand our problem. Our Kumbh happens every 12 years. For the last 1-2 years, such pictures were published on social media which showed that Muslims used to spit on food items. This was not refuted by any Muslim religious leader nor was any strict action taken. An affidavit came in a court in which it is said that spitting in food is Sunnah for us. But for us it is impure. We have to be strict to save our purity. The question here is not about Muslims but about purity.
Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati said that people of other religions are stopped from 40 km away in Mecca and Medina. Then why do they have to come to our place? If it stops Hindus from visiting Dargahs and shrines then it is a good thing. Our purity will remain. The sooner they do this, the better. If secularism means that there should be no more Hindus and no more Muslims, then this is not acceptable. Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati further said that today there is neither Ram-Ram nor God-Khuda.
