Maha kumbh mela 2025: The administration has implemented special traffic expenditure in view of the bathing festival of Maghi Purnima in Mahakumbh in the religious city of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Under this, the entire fair area has been declared a ‘no vehicle zone’ from 4 am on 11 February 2025. According to officials, private and public vehicles of devotees coming to Prayagraj will be parked in the respective route parking after four in the morning on February 11. So that there is no traffic chaos in the city and devotees can reach the bathing ghats easily on foot.

He said that to facilitate the movement of devotees, the administration has also declared the entire Prayagraj city as ‘no vehicle zone’ from 5 pm on February 11. Only emergency services will be exempted from this ban. According to officials, this special traffic scheme will remain in force on 12 February to ensure safe withdrawal of devotees in the fair area. This rule will also be applicable on the vehicles of devotees doing Kalpavas in the fair.

Emergency plan implemented at railway stations

Emergency plan was implemented at all railway stations of Prayagraj from February 11 regarding the horrific crowd coming to Mahakumbh. Single tracks have been made mandatory in Prayagraj Junction, Subedarganj, Chhiwki, Naini, Rambagh, Jhunsi, Prayag and Phaphamau from 8 am. According to the report of Dainik Jagran, in view of the huge crowd at these railway stations, passengers are being given entry from one side. While going out of the other side. Apart from this, there will be diversion on all routes. Before reaching Prayagraj railway station, passengers will have to roam and reach the passenger shelter home. Only then will they be sent to the platform. Information of direction trains in the fair area will also be given through allowance to which station passengers should go to go.

More than 100 special trains organized

CPRO of Railways Shashikant Tripathi said that the stations have been thronging the stations for several consecutive days. Every day more than 100 fair special trains are being operated on demand. He informed that 108 special trains were operated till 9 pm on Tuesday night. In this, North Central Railway operated 81, Northern Railway 10 and North Eastern Railway operated 17 special trains. Apart from this, special trains are also being run continuously.

On Tuesday, General Manager of North Central Railway Upendra Chandra Joshi and DRM Himanshu Badoni reviewed the preparations. He instructed the officials to immediately depart from the special train platform for the route on which the crowd occurred. The update of every moment continued from the control tower. He said that the crowd should not be gathered near the railway station, which passengers who reached the shelter site were arranged to reach the destination fast.

According to data released by the fair administration, more than 1.30 crore people took a bath in Sangam and Ganga till 10 am on Wednesday. So far, more than 47.45 crore people have bathed here. All Kalpavis have been requested to follow traffic rules and use only valid parking.
