Delhi-Prayagraj’s unilateral ticket which was earlier Rs 39,000 is now available for an average of Rs 10,000.
Easemytrip CEO and co-founder Rikant Pitti said, “Airlines like Indigo have accelerated their operations. Around 900 flights have been set for the Mahakumbh period and redistributed capacity from other routes to meet the demand. . ” He said that although accurate prices are subject to availability. But due to reduction in fares, pilgrims and passengers will have more affordable options to reach Prayagraj.
Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi have the highest aerial traffic from Prayagraj. The average unilateral fare on booking 15 days ago is about Rs 16,729, Rs 12,751 and Rs 12,616 for Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi respectively. If booked seven days before the journey, the fare comes to Rs 22,319, Rs 19,659 and Rs 13,569.
The spot fare from Bengaluru to Prayagraj is Rs 19,334, Mumbai is Rs 15,490 and Delhi is Rs 4,121. The air fare for Prayagraj was about 98-210 percent more in the first week of February than the same period last year. Pitti said, “To accommodate the increase in demand, additional flights have been introduced, causing the total number of available flights to 132. This step has reduced ticket prices significantly, leading to a significant decrease in ticket prices, for pilgrims and visitors. The journey has become more economical. “
Data from travel platform IXIGO last week showed that the average spot fare of flights from Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai to Prayagraj reached Rs 13,000-25,000 for the final time on February 3, 2025. It was Rs 17,000-33,000 around January 28, 2025. But ticket prices were still higher than the same period last year.
