The market capitalization (market cap) of 8 out of the top 10 companies of the Sensex fell by more than Rs 2 lakh crore in total last week. Reliance Industries suffered the most damage amidst the trend of weakness in the stock market. The process of decline in the eighth consecutive trading session in the stock markets continued on Friday. The Sensex lost 2,644.6 points or 3.36 percent in 8 trading sessions, while the Nifty lost 810 points or 3.41 percent.
In the last week, Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HDFC Bank, Infosys, State Bank of India (SBI), Hindustan Unilever, Bajaj Finance and ITC fell to a total of Rs 2,03,952.65 crore. At the same time, the market cap of Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank increased.

During the week, the market cap of Reliance Industries declined by Rs 67,526.54 crore to Rs 16,46,822.12 crore. The TCS market cap declined by Rs 34,950.72 crore to Rs 14,22,903.37 crore. Similarly, HDFC Bank’s market cap decreased by Rs 28,382.23 crore to Rs 12,96,708.35 crore, ITC’s loss of Rs 25,429.75 crore to Rs 5,13,699.85 crore, Rs 19,287.32 crore of Infosys reduced to Rs 7,70,786.76.76 crore, Sbi’s Rs 13,786.76 crore, Sbi’s 13,431.55 crore 6,44,357.57 crore, Hindustan Unilever declined by Rs 10,714.14 crore to Rs 5,44,647 crore and Bajaj Finance market cap declined by Rs 4,230.4 crore to Rs 5,20,082.42 crore.

Unlike this stance, Bharti Airtel’s market cap increased by Rs 22,426.2 crore to Rs 9,78,631.54 crore. The market cap of ICICI Bank increased by Rs 1,182.57 crore to Rs 8,88,815.13 crore. Reliance Industries stood first in the list of Sensex’s top 10 companies. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, Hindustan Unilever, Bajaj Finance and ITC respectively.
The new starting week will be listed on Ajax Engineering BSE, NSE on 17 February in the mainboard segment. At the same time, shares of Chandan Healthcare will start on NSE SME. On February 19, there will be a hexaware technologies list on BSE, NSE. On the same day, there will be a listing of PS Raj Steels, Voler Car and Maxvolt Energy on NSE SME. The shares of Shanmuga Hospital will start on BSE SME on 20 February. After this, on 21 February, BSE, Quality Power on NSE, LK Mehta Polymers on BSE SME and Royalarc Electrodes on NSE SME will be shared.
