Lpg price: The month of October always brings bright from festivals. The government does not increase the price of domestic ELPG cylinders at the time of most festivals. The government increased the price of 14 kg cylinders in 2025 this year. In such a situation, people are still hoping that when oil marketing companies release new rates on 1 October, they will not get a shock of inflation on the festive season.

If we look at the rate of previous years, in October 2020, the cylinder was being available in Delhi for Rs 594. After this, the prices rose to about 899.50 rupees in 2021. It went to Rs 1053 in 2022, but there was no change in October. In 2023, the price came down to Rs 903 in late August and the same rates remained in October. By 2024, the price was reduced to Rs 803 further and in October, customers got relief again.

Government’s gift on festivals

In the festive season, there are not only relief in prices for customers, but gifts are also being received from the government. The Uttar Pradesh government has made a big announcement before Diwali. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decided to give free gas cylinder refill to 1.85 crore women. This facility will be available to the beneficiary women of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

Meanwhile, the Central Government has also made a big announcement on the inauguration of Navratri. 25 lakh new connections will be given under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme. At present, there are 10 crore 35 lakh active Ujjwala connections across the country. After adding new connections, this number will increase to 10 million 60 lakhs. The government said that every new connection will cost about 2050 rupees.
