Lpg cylinder price cut 1 August: The government has given relief to the common people before protecting. The LPG cylinder has become cheaper. Oil marketing companies have cut the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders across the country by Rs 33.50. The new rates of LPG cylinders have come into force today from 1 August 2025. Commercial LPG cylinder is of 19 kg. However, the government has not made any changes in the price of domestic 14 kg LPG cylinder. The government had announced to make LPG cylinders cheaper on the night of 31 July but the new rates will be applicable today from Friday 1 August 2025.
Now commercial cylinders will be available at this rate
According to the new rates implemented from 1 August 2025, a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will now be available in Delhi for Rs 1,631.50. Earlier it was priced at Rs 1,665. In July 2025, the cylinder was available in Kolkata for Rs 1,769 and in Mumbai for Rs 1,616.50. However, now the price of cylinders here has come down by Rs 33.50. Catering units, hotel-restaurants and food industry traders will get relief due to decrease in the price of commercial cylinders. These people use commercial LPG cylinders.

No change in domestic cylinder prices
There has been no change in the prices of domestic gas cylinders. The price of 14.3 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains stable since 8 April 2025. The government has not made any changes in this. In the last four months, prices have not been increased nor reduced. Not changing the prices of LPG cylinders will also affect the common people. The price of domestic cylinder in Delhi is still Rs 853.

Beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme get subsidy
Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), about 10 crore families are given a subsidy of Rs 300 per cylinder. This amount is transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries.
