The Chief Justice said, “The first five judges are working even during the holidays, yet we are blamed for the backlog. In fact, the lawyers are not ready to work on the holidays.”

Supreme Court issued notification

In fact, recently the Supreme Court issued a notification, which was informed about the working benches during the summer holidays, which is now called partial court working day. This period will run from 26 May to 13 July. The important thing in this is that during this period two to 5 vacation benches will work and Chief Justice Sabit five judges will also operate the court during this period. However, according to the tradition earlier, there were only two vacation benches during the summer holidays and senior judges had no need to sit in court.

This information given in the notification

The notification gives information about weekly allocation of judges for benches. According to the Epodel, from 26 May to 1 June, Chief Justice BR Gawai, Justice Suryakant, Vikram Nath, JK Maheshwari and BV Nagaratna will preside over 5 benches respectively. During this period, the registry of the top court will be open to all officers and employees from 10 am to 5 pm. The registry will remain closed on Sunday (excluding July 12) on Sundays and on public outspoons.
