Ladki bahin yojana: The government has announced to give the money together for the month of February and March under the Ladki Bahin Yojana. Maharashtra’s Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare announced that on March 8, the beneficiary women will get full money of two months. Under this scheme, only those women who meet the set standards will be benefited. Several application standards have been canceled due to non -availability of standards, while some women have voluntarily withdrawn the application. This decision will directly benefit millions of women and strengthen their financial condition.

With the beginning of the budget session of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, the government has given great relief to women. Deputy CM and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar presented supplementary demands of Rs 6,486 crore in the assembly. He allocated the budget for different departments. In this, a provision of Rs 3,006.28 crore for the Rural Development Department, Rs 1,688.74 crore for the Department of Industry, Power and Labor and Rs 590.28 crore for the Urban Development Department. Rs 2,133.25 crore has been kept separate for the central government sponsored schemes.
The popular scheme in Maharashtra has more than 2.43 crore beneficiaries. This puts a burden of about Rs 3,700 crore to the state treasury every month. The Ladki Bahin program was considered a major reason for the great victory of the Mahayuti alliance in the state elections last year. The BJP government has now promised to increase the monthly amount to Rs 2,100. However, currently the monthly Rs 1500 is received under the scheme. Deputy and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar announced the scheme in addition to 2024-25 in the budget.
The purpose of this scheme is to make women financially independent and self -sufficient. The government proposes to provide financial assistance of Rs 18,000 annually to women in the age group of 21 to 65 years. Women, whose family’s annual income is Rs 2,50,000, can avail the scheme.
