Kanpur: Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh held a meeting with activists of family environmental protection activities in Kanpur on Wednesday. During this time he emphasized the importance of Indian culture, family affinity and environmental protection. Addressing the activists of Kutumb Prabodhan activity, Bhagwat said, ‘Our culture has been the focal point of guidance in the world. India has been in place of the world guru in the world and today people in the world are getting attracted towards India’s customs, policy, tradition, culture. Now in Kumbh, we saw the scene that our culture is condensed.
‘The tradition of family intimacy should remain’
The RSS supremo called for the work of Kutumb Prabodhan on the basis of 6 points- Bhajan, food, building, language, land and tour. He insisted that the tradition of affinity of the family should remain. Bhagwat said, ‘Family members should eat together once a day, use their mother tongue inside the family, our costumes are going to showcase our values, our building should be such that it is an ideal Hindu home. We volunteers are growing in the society regarding these subjects, society today needs awareness of these subjects, awareness. Family members have a feeling of responsibility towards each other. Gradually, this topic increases in society and the concept of an ideal family should be realized.
‘Plant trees, save water, remove polythene’
In a conversation with the workers of environmental protection activity, Bhagwat inquired about the activity works. He said that there is a slogan of environmental protection activity, ‘Plant trees, save water, remove polythene.’ The main undertakings of this activity are trees, water and polythene. He suggested that according to the texture of the house, trees should be planted in pots on the balcony or roof, water conservation should be done through daily tasks, less use of harmful chemicals should be reduced, should conserve biodiversity and conserve energy in the house. Bhagwat said that there are 6 functioning departments of environmental protection activity, educational institutions, religious institutions, women power, voluntary institutions, mass dialogues and public relations.
‘A sense of patriotism should come in daily life’
The RSS supremo emphasized the importance of patriotism and said, ‘There should be a sense of patriotism in our daily life. There should be a feeling in the society that this is my country. The electricity generated here is the electricity of our country, the water here is the water of our country. When there is a sense of affinity for our country, there will be a sense of nation first, then we will also consider small things. Society is gradually changing, but there is still more need. Environmental activity workers should become inspiration for themselves as well as society. If the idea of the nation first is established inside the entire society, then it will be natural to happen, this is what we have to do.
