Earlier this record was named after Virat Kohli. Virat achieved this feat in 243 innings. But now KL Rahul broke this record of Virat by completing 8000 runs in 224 innings. He achieved this feat in the match against Gujarat Titans. As soon as he scored 33 runs in this match, KL Rahul touched 8000 runs in T20 format.
