
Aparajita Samman ceremony organized
New Delhi: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Kisan Trust organized the first Aparajita Samman ceremony to celebrate the empowerment, progress and exhibition of women. This program reflects the commitment of the trust for welfare and gender equality of women who are constantly striving to bring positive changes in society.
The program began with the welcome of Special Olympics India’s President and Asia Pacific Advisory Council Chairperson and Dr. Mallika Nadda, wife of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President JP Nadda. She attended the event as the chief guest and highlighted the efforts made by the trust towards women empowerment, social justice, and rural development.
Empowerment of women over acid attack: One step towards dignity and dignity
A session was organized under the leadership of Miss Sahira Singh during the ceremony, which appreciated the bravery of women recovering from acid attack. These women have given new direction to their lives despite physical, emotional and social challenges. The Kisan Trust provided financial assistance to them and Dr. Mallika Nadda handed over the check to him.
Dr. Mallika Nadda said in her address that women empowerment is very compulsory for the creation of progressive society. He spoke of equal opportunities, financial inclusion and policy changes for women. Emphasized the need to create an environment where women can develop in the true sense. Charu Singh’s message from Kisan Trust
Charu Singh, a trustee of Kisan Trust, said in his address that it is very important to work together for inclusive talks and women empowerment. He said that whether women are in the village or in the city, professional employees or housewives, their struggles and needs are the same. Intensive panel discussions: Health, Digital Inclusion and Economic Empowerment of Women
Two major panel discussions were held during the program. In the first discussion, women’s health related problems like menstruation, hormonal health, reproductive health and fitness were discussed. The discussion included Deepika Anand (World Bank), Dr. Shehla Jamal (Sarvodaya Hospital), Ishi Khosla (Hole Foods and the Celiac Society of India) and Shefalika Panda (Banshar and Eela Panda Foundation).
The second panel discussion highlighted digital inclusion and women’s economic empowerment. Experts explained ways to make women self -sufficient through digital and financial literacy. Archana Vyas (Gates Foundation), Dr. Umang Mathur (Dr. Shroff Charity Eye Hospital) and Sanya Seth (UN Woman) participated in this discussion.
Swear and closing of change
The ceremony ended with a vote of thanks by Veena Nabar. He appreciated all collective efforts, due to which the event was possible. Everyone present at the end of the program sang the national anthem showing the solidarity of the country. Representatives from Delhi, Meerut, Baghpat, Mathura, Ghaziabad, and Muzaffarpur attended the ceremony. Some of the major dignitaries at the program were Poonam Sharma (President, FICCI FLO), Miss Sara Abdullah and Anuja Dubey.
