Khedan Watan Punjab Diya: Prize money received to sports winners included in each category
The Kheda Watan Punjab Diya was started by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann three years ago. The main objective of starting this special program was to identify sports talents in the state and enhance them. The main objective of this program is to promote sports and physical fitness among the youth of Punjab. In this, players between 14 and 65 years of age are allowed to participate in sports.

Kheda Watan Punjab Diya is divided into three categories including block level, district level and state level. Out of this, block levels include only seven sports, while the other two categories include events of 25 and 35 different sports respectively. Certificates are given to the top three winners at the block level and district level, while state level winners also get cash prizes. Apart from the certificate, the player who gets the first place in a particular game gets a cash prize of Rs 10,000 while the second and third -ranked athletes are given Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively.
