King Abdullah is the third politician to reach the White House after Trump’s swearing in.
King Abdullah of Jordan, who visited the US, has spoken of keeping 2000 sick children of Gaza in the country. He announced this in a conversation with President Donald Trump at the Oval Office of the White House on Tuesday.
Abdullah said that many of these children are suffering from cancer or are in critical condition, they will be transferred as soon as possible.
Trump expressed happiness to this decision. Actually, Trump wants to displace the Palestinians from Gaza and settle in Egypt and Jordan. Trump threatened to stop the US aid of the two countries for not doing so.
However, King Abdullah refused to protest the Palestinians in Jordan by posting on X.
Trump wants to make a resort city in Gaza
Donald Trump is displaced by Gaza and wants to capture the US. Trump wants to build a resort city here. Trump said in a post on social media on 6 February that the US will grow in Gaza and build a great house here.
Trump said that it would be better to settle the Palestinians in a new place, instead of resettling Gaza. Trump has also supported this plan by Israel. Israeli Defense Minister Katj also ordered the army to prepare a plan related to it.
According to Katj, the Israeli army will help those who want to leave Gaza on their own. Israeli’s PM Netanyahu has already described this plan of Trump as changing history.
Netanyahu met Trump at the White House on 4 February.
Hamas dismisses Trump’s plan
Hamas Trump’s plan involved in the war against Israel has been rejected. Hamas said in his statement that “our people tolerated death and destruction for 15 months without leaving their land. We will not accept any proposal.”
The fight between Israel and Hamas for 15 months in Gaza had to displace 23 lakh people. While about 60% of the buildings have been destroyed. It can take several decades to recreate them.
More than 2 million Palestinians already in Jordan
According to the United Nations, more than 2 million Palestinian refugees live in Jordan. Most of them have been given permanent citizenship of Jordan. At the same time, thousands of Palestinians have fled to Egypt since the war with Israel on 7 October 2023, but he has not been recognized as a refugee there.
Former President Joe Biden’s tenure, the then Foreign Minister Antony Blinkan opposed Gaza to force the Palestinians. Blinkon had said not to put pressure on the Palestinians to leave Gaza.
