Traffic challan: National Lok Adalat will be held in all court complex on 10 May 2025 in Delhi. This court will run from 10 am to 4 pm and people will be able to deal with many legal disputes in it. The objective of this Lok Adalat is to give a quick and easy solution to pending cases, so that both people’s time and money can be saved.
In this Lok Adalat, motor accident claims, motor insurance disputes, check bounces, matrimonial disputes (except divorce), electricity-water dispute, land acquisition, salary and pension disputes, other civil cases and compoundable challans and notices of Delhi Traffic Police will be dealt with. The special thing is that people from NCR and other states can also come to settle the invoices of Delhi Traffic Police, even if the vehicle is registered in another state.
In the Lok Adalat, there can be a big discount by dealing with challan. In the past, in many cases, people have saved up to 70% of the amount of invoices. For example, a person settled the Rs 1.35 lakh electricity bill dispute for just Rs 5000, while another took a compensation of Rs 4.25 lakh in a motor accident, which was earlier available for Rs 3 lakh. In this Lok Adalat only compoundable traffic challans and notices will be dealt with, that is, those who can be resolved by paying a fine on the spot. Challans up to 31 January 2025 will be taken in this process.
Those who want to settle their traffic challans, from 5 May 2025, download the challan from Delhi Traffic Police website https://Traffic.Delipolice.gov.in/Lokadalat and take a print out. There will be no print facility in the court premises.
