How to register on ITR portal?

Registration process on ITR portal

  • Go to the official portal and click on ‘Register’.
  • Choose the option ‘Register as Taxpayer’, enter PAN and click on ‘Validate’.
  • Fill details like name, date of birth, gender and residential status.
  • Enter mobile number, email address. OTP will come on both.
  • Enter OTP of 6 digits on mobile and email (within 15 minutes).
  • Confirm details and set the password.
  • The password has 8 to 14 characters. At least one capital, a small letter, a number and a special character.
  • After this, click on ‘Register’ and then ‘Proceed to Login’.

Now your ITR portal has been registered. Now you can start using the portal.
