ITKON scam
A new scam is going on these days in the name of Apple. Many posts about Apple ITOKEN Crypto currency on social media platform X are being made viral, claiming that it is Apple’s cryptocurrency. It is being shared with a verified handle to show Jenuine with ITOKEN posts. Also, Apple’s logo is also installed in the post with iTocen, so that people can easily get into the trap.
The ITOKEN post shared with Apple’s logo claims that Apple is going to launch it soon. In the name of this token, in 2023, a fraud of about 2.6 million dollars was done in Cryptocurrency with a user. Experts say that if you click on this fake post, then the access hackers of your device can be found. After this, hackers can steal cryptocurrency from your account.
How to avoid
These cryptocurrency posts being viral in the name of brands like Apple, Tesla, OpenAI are completely fake. No brand has currently shared any official information about bringing cryptocurrency. In such a situation, if you also see such ITOKEN posts, then you can report it on social media platforms. Also, you do not have to fall under the guise of any such offer post.
Hackers continue to adopt new ways to cheat people. Posts like gifts, prize money, investment in crypto etc. are shared. Apart from social media, hackers also target users by sending text or WhatsApp messages on the number of users. Not only this, users are also targeted by sending e-mail or RCS messages. If you also get any such message or link, do not entertain it at all.
