ISSF World Cup 2025
India won the third place by winning a total of seven medals in the ISSF World Cup shooting competition held in Peru’s capital Lima. On the last day of the competition, however, Indian fans felt a little disappointed when Prithviraj Tondiman and Pragati Dubey pair failed to enter the medal round of the trap mixed team event. Simranpreet Kaur Brar won the last medal of this competition for India on Monday. They performed a strong performance in the women’s 25m pistol event and put another medal in the country’s bag. With this victory, India concluded the competition with two gold, four silver and a bronze medal.
China tops in medal tally, America defeated India
China topped the medal tally, winning a total of 13 medals, including four gold, three silver and 6 bronze medals. The United States won 7 medals equal to India, but stood second due to a large number of gold medals. India finished third.
Suruchi Inder Singh became India’s star shooter
The most notable performance from India was 18 -year -old Suruchi Inder Singh. He won two gold medals in the competition and got his talent and confidence ironed. She won the gold medal, beating an experienced player like Manu Bhakar in the women’s 10m air pistol event. Apart from this, he also won the gold medal at the 10m air pistol mixed team event by pairing with Saurabh Chaudhary.
India failed from medal in trap mixed team
Prithviraj Tondiman and Pragati Dubey finished eighth in a joint score of 134, so that they could not make a place in the medal round. At the same time, the pair of Lakshya and Neeru concluded the competition while finishing 13th with a score of 128. Only the top four teams could make it to the final round in this event.
