A case of disappearance of an Israeli citizen from the tracking route Triund in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh has come to light. The missing Samuel Vengarinovich (age 35 to 40 years) left for trekking on 6 June, but did not return until the night.

Samuel’s partner Edibalm informed the McLeodganj police on Monday. The Samuel is staying in the Dharmakot region. He told that 5 people came on a trip to Himachal. However, Samuel Vengarinovich is lost somewhere during trekking.
Administration conducted search operation
Kangra district administration conducted an immediate search operation after the disappearance of Samuel Vengarinovich. Joint teams of police, SDRF and DDMA are searching in Triund, Indra Pass, Jot and nearby inaccessible areas. The search operation is still going on, but there was no clue of Samuel Vengarinovich.
Appeal to inform the local people
The Kangra district administration has appealed to tourists and trackers to inform the local police before leaving for threcking and follow the guidelines related to weather, security and route.
Information given to Israeli Embassy- SP
Kangra SSP Shalini Agnihotri said that in view of the seriousness of the case, the information has been sent to the Israeli Embassy in Delhi through the state government. The administration is constantly monitoring the search operation and the teams are on high alert.
