Meanwhile, now the Cricket West Indies has also issued a decree for its players whether they will be able to play in the remaining matches of the current season of IPL.
Windies will be able to play in the remaining IPL
The West Indies team has to visit Ireland and England from May 21 where they have to play the series series in both ODI and T20 formats, about which the squad has already been announced. At the same time, Cricket West Indies has made it clear that their players can play in all the remaining matches of IPL 2025 season. This decision of the board has brought the most relief to the IPL franchise Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore team, as both these teams are not returning to play, while some will go back before the playoffs. In a statement released by the Cricket West Indies, the West Indies said that we are fully committed to landing a strong team for the West Indies team’s tour of Ireland and England to be held from May 21 to June 3.
Shamar Joseph will not return to India for the remaining IPL matches
In IPL 2025, there are three players of the West Indies team who have been selected in the Windies squad for the ODI series. In this, Shamar Joseph will not return to India, while the Cricket West Indies has made it clear that Sherfen will play in ODI series against Campbell Ireland in place of Rutherford while Jedih blades have been included in place of Romario Shepherd. Apart from this, Shimran Hetmyer will become part of the squad from the ODI series against England as their IPL team has already been out of the playoff race.
