Now BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla has revealed the start date of IPL 2025. He has said that IPL 2025 will start from March 23.
Rajeev Shukla revealed
BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla said that clarity regarding the venue of the Women’s Premier League is almost certain. A press note regarding it will be issued soon. Regarding the Indian squad in Champions Trophy 2025, he said that the meeting regarding this will be held on 18th or 19th. After this he said that IPL will start from March 23.
Devjit Saikia became secretary
After Jay Shah became ICC Chairman, former Assam cricketer Devjit Saikia was elected interim secretary of BCCI. Now Devjit was elected secretary in the Special General Meeting (SGM) on 12 January. Prabhtej Singh Bhatia was made the treasurer in place of Ashish Shelar. Ashish is currently an MLA of Bharatiya Janata Party and a minister in the Maharashtra government. For this reason the post of treasurer was vacant. After the SGM meeting, Rajeev Shukla came out and while talking to the journalists, he said that the selection of both the candidates was the single point issue in the meeting.
Rishabh Pant became the most expensive player in the auction
Last year itself, the IPL auction had ended, in which the Lucknow Super Giants team had spent a lot of money on star wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant. Then he was bought by LSG by paying a huge amount of Rs 27 crore. Punjab Kings team paid Rs 26.75 crore to include Shreyas Iyer in the squad. Both of them became the most expensive players in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
CSK and MI won IPL title 5-5 times
In IPL, both Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have won this trophy five times each. Whereas Kolkata Knight Riders team was successful in winning this trophy thrice. Rajasthan Royals, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans have won this title once each.
