IPL 2025 All Team Captain Names: Delhi Capitals have appointed Indian all -rounder Akshar Patel as their new captain for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Akshar will replace Rishabh Pant, who was out of the franchise before the mega auction. On being appointed captain, Akshar Patel expressed his happiness and said that it is a great honor for him to become the captain of Delhi Capitals. He has made a lot of progress as a cricketer and feels that I am fully prepared to lead this team. Fans of Delhi Capitals will now expect the team to perform strongly in IPL 2025 under the captaincy of Akshar and make the title for the first time.
With Akshar Patel becoming the captain, the captains of all the teams of IPL 2025 have been fixed. 9 out of 10 teams had announced their captains long ago but the Delhi team had maintained suspense. Earlier there were speculations that KL Rahul could get the command of the team but in the end the team management expressed confidence in Akshar Patel.
5 teams expressed confidence in new captains
In IPL 2025, 5 out of 10 teams will be seen playing with the new captain. Akshar Patel, the captaincy of Delhi Capitals, will be seen. Lucknow Super Giants will be commanded by Rishabh Pant. The team of Royal Challengers Bangalore will play under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar. At the same time, Punjab Kings Shreyas Iyer while Kolkata Knight Riders Ajinkya Rahane will start their campaign under the captaincy. Apart from these teams, the remaining 5 teams have retained their old captains. Out of all 10 teams, 9 captains are Indians while only one captain is foreign. The only foreign captain is Pat Cummins, who will command the Sunrisers Hyderabad team in their hands.

- Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) – Silver Patidar
- Punjab Kings (PBKS) – Shreyas Iyer
- Delhi Capitals (DC) – Akshar Patel
