The country’s second IT company Infosys has started implementing the increase in the salary of its employees. Infosys started implementing salary hike on 24 February. According to the news of Moneycontrol, the increase in salary ranged from 5 percent to 8 percent. The news states that those who perform extraordinary performances have received a salary increase of about 10-12 percent. Infosys has enhanced the increase in salary in four categories- excellent, commendable, required and required to improve.
The second phase will begin in April 2025
According to the news, the salary hike for the band JL6 and below has been effective from April 1. On January 16, the company said that it would start an annual salary increase for its employees in India from January 2025. The salary hike scheme is made in a phased manner, the second phase of which will begin in April 2025. Let us tell you, in the financial year 2025, most of the IT companies, except TCS, delayed the increase in salary. Usually it occurs in the beginning of the financial year.
Initiative for employees coming in taxable income group
More than 3.23 lakh professionals are working in Infosys. Last time in November 2023, the increase in salary was implemented. The company will provide allowances and other benefits to the employees coming in the taxable income group to compensate for low salary hike. Infosys chief financial officer Jayesh Sangharajka had said that roughly, we are expecting an annual salary increase of 6-8% in India. Foreign increment will be according to earlier salary reviews.
Infosys’s condition in quarterly results
In the third quarter ended in December, Infosys recorded an increase of 11.4 percent in a net profit of ₹ 6,806 crore, compared to ₹ 6,106 crore in the same period of a year ago. Revenue in the quarter under review was ₹ 41,764 crore, which is 7.6 percent more than the previous year. In terms of stable currency (CC), revenue increased by 6.1 percent compared to last year, while gradually declined by 1.7 percent.
