The volcano in Indonesia’s Mount Levotobi Laki Laki once again exploded a loud explosion on Wednesday. This led to a huge amount of smoke and ash.
Several explosions occurred from Tuesday evening to Wednesday afternoon. In a major explosion on Tuesday afternoon, the ash and smoke bust reached a height of 10 km.
It looked like a mushroom. It could be seen up to 150 km away.
Due to this explosion, people were evacuated from the villages and many flights had to be canceled. These include flights to and from Famous Tourist Spot Bali.

High level warning released
In view of the seriousness of the explosion, the administration has issued the most high level warning. The area up to 8 km from the volcano has been declared a dangerous area.
Ashes and small stones are falling in this area. Ashes and debris have also fallen even to villages outside the dangerous area. Some residents of Nurabelane village went to take refuge in relief camps in Konga.
The 1584 meter high Mount Levotobi Laki Laki, Flores is a twin volcanic located in Timur district, associated with Mount Levotobi Parampuan.
This volcano has exploded several times before. The explosion in November killed 9 people and injured dozens. It was also active in March.
