Gaurav’s moment came for Indian racing fans when Kush Manny created history by winning the Formula 2 sprint race in Monaco Grand Prix. Manny not only became the first Indian driver to win on this prestigious track, but also achieved the first F2 race win and first podium finish of her career. Manny started with a pole position for the Dams Lucas Oil and showed tremendous control and patience during the entire race. BWT Alpine F1 team’s reserve driver Manny maintained a brilliant lead and did not lose his position till the end.
After the victory, emotional Manny said that winning in Monaco and making history is really like the dream is to be fulfilled. He is thankful to his team DAMS and all those who supported him in this journey.
Barcelona will show power in Grand Prix
Amid the joy of victory, Indian industrialist Gautam Singhania was also seen hugging Kush Manny in Pitt Lane. Institutions like Singhania’s JK Racing and TVS Racing have been supporting Manny’s career since the beginning. Now Kush Maini will also try his luck in the feature race on Sunday, after which his next stop will be Barcelona Grand Prix.
