India has achieved another major success amid the ongoing tension with Pakistan. Pakistan has released Purnam Kumar Sahu, a BSF jawan, in pressure from India, under custody. Let me tell you that when the tension over the Pahalgam terror attack between India and Pakistan was at its peak, Purnam Kumar Sahu was taken into custody by Pakistani Rangers on 23 April from the international border. Since then, there was a demand to be brought back. Today, on 14 May, he has returned after about 20 days.

BSF jawan Purnam Kumar Sahu was in custody of Pakistan Rangers since 23 April 2025. According to the information, on Wednesday, Sahu has been handed over to India at around 10.30 am through the Joint Check Post Attari, Amritsar. The BSF spokesperson has informed that this transfer between India and Pakistan has been made peacefully and according to the established protocol.

What is the whole matter?

Actually, BSF Constable Purnam Kumar Sahu was posted in Ferozepur sector of Punjab. In the early days of the growing military tension between India and Pakistan, on April 23, Poornam accidentally crossed the international border. After this, he was taken into custody by Pakistani Rangers.

India’s security forces also arrested a Pakistani Rangers jawan in Rajasthan on 3 May. BSF made this arrest near the border in Sriganganagar. According to reports, the Pakistani Rangers jawan was trying to enter India’s border. Then BSF soldiers stopped him and took him into custody.
