US President Donald Trump’s rule is overshadowing Indian students. There is an increasing risk of strictness and detection in student visas. Things have not been the same as before. American Dream of Indian students is in the balance.

Dainik Bhaskar came to know the situation after talking to more than 25 Indian students studying in 12 universities in America. There is fear and uncertainty in his heart and mind.
About 1.25 lakh Indian students are studying in America. America has the highest number of Indians in America.
Therefore, Indian student is called live wire of America’s educational institutions. Some Indian students believe that this is a temporary phase, but most of the trust is breaking.

Student 1- Go home, because fear of not getting entry
I came to America for Masters only last year. At the commencement of this year’s summer vacation, my family members living in UP prayed to come. But it happened to some foreign students of my class that they went to their homes in the countries of West Asia but they did not get entry in America again. I am also afraid that if I do not get an entry again from India, my course will be incomplete. So I refused family members. Sadiq Ahmed of the University of California (name changed)
Students 2- Students following social media silence
Reacting on any social media posts can cause departure from America. Some students living in our hostels took the ICE team.
Later it was discovered that he was caught by agencies on reacting or reposting on social media posts. Now Indian students are following social media silence.
Some have even closed their social media accounts. American agencies are monitoring.

Students 3- Parents are filling the loan, but the job here is no longer decided
Parents have sent a loan of Rs 50 lakh to America. For two years, I was extracting the expenses by doing part time job here. The loan was also helping parents in repaying EMI. But now for five months I have stopped doing part time job. Because I was working in the super market recently, then some white youth accused me of being illegal migrant. He said that the ICE would complain to the unit. I do not want to get into such a mess. I have to complete my studies here. I am wondering how to bite two more years in America. How many dreams came here with dreams, never thought that America would become like this.

Students 4- Hopefully, the situation will change, yes a period of change
The dream of studying in America for Indian students is not yet broken. This is also a period of change for America. There is no harm in strictness in the visa. Students come to the University of America to study, not to perform. Students who believe in law should be fearless.
